These are photographs of roses from a summer day in the San Jose Rose Garden, digitally fractured and recomposed into symmetrical entities. Then, hand-inked asemic calligraphy was manipulated using complimentary angles and placed on top. A set of square cards were printed as part of the Secret Knowledge exhibition.

During the 100 days of Secret Knowledge I carried this chair around in my car and would photograph it on days that felt suited for it. At the time, I felt it was a perfect stand in for me. It seemed to represent all that I stood for. I attempted to burn the chair on two different occasions. Neither attempt was successful at destroying it. Modern Ikea chairs are chock full of flame retardant chemicals. The blackened, charred chair remains.
